While the list is not 100% complete, it is comprehensive - and it's a valuable go-to guide, with many of the world's automotive proving ground facilities listed in one place.

Proving grounds, of course, enable and support the wide range engineering tasks required for vehicle development, including: validation, verification, inspection, homologation, regulatory compliance, and durability. Since vehicle performance (up to and exceeding limits) can be put to test in a variety of environments and driving situations in a safe and repeatable environment, proving grounds have sprung up all over the world to accommodate all types of testing.

Some proving grounds are owned and managed by automakers or tire companies. Some are independent, and available for hire to customers at large. All of them typically uphold a high level of discretion and security in order to protect the commercial interests of their customers.
