Globally, more than one billion tires reach the end of their usable life every year. That’s a big number.
While it’s true that some end-of-life tire (ELT) materials can repurposed as useful resources for circular economy initiatives, ELT oversight and management systems remain highly fragmented.
To help address this, The Tire Industry Project (TIP) released its new End-of-Life Tire Toolkit 2.0 this month. It’s a comprehensive, practical guide to implementing more sustainable end-of-life tire (ELT) management systems.
The Toolkit can be downloaded as a PDF using the link above or by clicking the image below:
The Toolkit is modular and interactive. Readers can navigate directly to sections most relevant to their role, from regulatory frameworks and technology options to practical implementation guides and templates. Additional resources, including international case studies, a glossary, annexes, and ready-to-use templates, are provided as well.
The latest version of the Toolkit builds on years of work by TIP and its member companies, as well as the collective effort of experts from organizations across the tire value chain.
We bring it to your attention in case your organization is actively involved in assessing existing tire supply systems, identifying gaps, and implementing improvements. Enjoy!
